Thank you Steve! Dad will be missed. Donna, Mom and I are more than touched by the thoughts and prayers of all who have stoped by or called. Jeff
I was with Donna and Sue yesterday (7/5/08) right after the passing and they are both doing exceptionally well considering. I am thankful that his illness and ensuing passing was quick and easy for him. Donna said that he really was never in pain which is something to be extremely thankful for. I have many memories of Mr. Clark (20 years after high school and I still can't call him Don). He was not only my middle school principal or high school biology teacher he was the father of one of my best friends. I spent many, many days and nights at their home and he was a very important person in my life. I'm thankful that I had the opportunity to visit him at the hospital on the day he was released. My thoughts and prayers are with Donna, Sue and Jeff as they grieve his loss. Mr. Clark will always be someone I respect and credit with a small part of who I became.
Brad and I send our condolences and prayers to the Clark family as well. Brad and I were just talking about "Mr. Clark" this weekend. He was a favorite of Brad's as well as mine. He will always be thought of as a favorite teacher to many at Cabool High School. Lots of great memories!
There are few times in life that a person comes along that can really change the way you see things and view life. Mr. Don Clark was one of those such people for many of us. He taught us all to respect nature and our environment. He tuaght us that every loving organism has a purpose.
He put up with many of our unending questions and why's, but what he really did was taught us to think and question.
Not only was Don a wonderful teacher, he was a wonderful community person. When I came back to work in the Cabool district even though they had both since retired they were there to lend a supporting hand and give encouraging words at every turn.
Sue, Jeff, Donna, and families thank you for sharing Don with us over the years. He will be missed, but today, heaven's inquisitive kids have a teacher.
God Bless and give you strength.
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Clark. My prayers are with his family. He was a very special man, and an exceptional teacher.
Gosh- Cabool has lost a truly lovely man, and as pretty much everyone on this site can atest to, he left his mark on us all during our tumultuous years a.k.a. "puberty". God bless Mr. Clark and his family.
I am sorry to hear of the loss. He was an inspiration to all that had him. I know I also have some memories that I still share with my children regarding our biology teacher. He will be greatly missed.
I have many fond memories of Mr. Clark. We really loved his stories and it was so easy to get him to tell them during class!! I will miss him as will many in Cabool. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I only had Mr. Clark one year, but I remember him being a great teacher. He always made us laugh. Man we were so mean to him, but he just took it with a grin. He had his comebacks too. RIP Mr. Clark.
Mr. Clark meant alot of different things to alot of different people. He touched so many during his time here. To me, he was more than a great teacher, he was a truly remarkable person. I have many wonderful memories of him as a teacher and as the father of one of my friends. He was a very good and genuine person who will be greatly missed by all. I feel very fortunate to have known him.
I remember Mr. Clark. It seems the best I remember- I think he was one of our class sponsors, along with Mrs Keiser and Mrs. Kemper for the class of 75. He was a good teacher.
Mr. Clark cared about his students, he cared that you learned, and I remember him always talking about the Marshal Tucker Band in class. Sweet "Carolina Dreams" Mr. Clark.
