The Thompson's
Roy Dean Walls was a good friend and a good man. Living in McKinney, Texas, he became very close to us during RB's heart illness and our days of fear. Having gone through the same ordeal, Dean stayed at the hospital during RB's operations and procedures, giving support and comfort to Nancy and the girls. He prayed and gave inspiration during a very hard time in 2005.
After I started recovering, Dean would meet with me on a regular basis to mentor me and keep me from the "survivors guilt" a transplant goes through. He was our family's soul mate during this time for we had so very much in common, we were from Cabool, we went to CHS, my brother-in-law was his first cousin and to date we are the only to heart transplants from CHS.
Tonight we pray for his family and hope they will find comfort in the fact that Dean was a loving husband, a great father, a GREAT Grandpa, a great brother, a great cousin, a great friend and a true believe in the LORD. His time on Earth has touched many and his time in HEAVEN will be eternal. GOD Bless you Dean. RB & Nancy Grisham.
