Christi Barnes

Does anyone know what happened to Christi Barnes? I know she was flighted to St. John's hospital and is currently in ICU on November 5. Please let me know!! I plan on going to see her in a few days.

Tilithia - did you find anything out? Of course, I don't know anything being in St. Louis but if you know anything, please share!

I just spoke to Maryann, Christi's mom. Christi is at St. John's in room #3106. She just got to a room on the floor yesterday from ICU. When she came in, Maryann said the Dr. told her if she made it through that first night, it would be a miracle!! Well, she made it!! Thank God! They removed her spleen and some of her liver, then had to go back in & remove more of her liver. They also removed her gallbladder and appendix. She said that there was so much bleeding. She had a compound fracture on her right arm--the bone came through the skin...they are doing surgery on Thursday to put plates and screws in it. She hit pretty much head on with another vehicle. Not sure on those details, I didn't ask. I told Maryann that I would let all of us know about Christi & if anyone wanted to see her, it would be fine. She's very tired & in a lot of pain still, and if she didn't feel like visitors, she would just let you know. :) Bless her heart. Let's keep her in our prayers...

I'm going to try & go up the first of next week. She's having surgery on her arm Thursday so I wanted to try & give her some time to recover from that. Maryann sounded very tired & she said Christi is, too, as well as in a lot of pain. I'm sure she would be glad to see you!! Let us know how she is if you go up on Friday!

I went to see Christi last night and she is in a lot of pain, infact, that is an understatement. I felt so bad for Maryann because I'm sure she feels totally helpless. When I left last night her fever had "come down" to 102, Maryann said it had spiked a few hours earlier. Christi really needs our prayers.

??? Okay, Texas girl out of the loop. What the heck happened? Car wreck? Does Christi have kids? If so, how are they? I don't think I have seen her since... My prayers are in.

I went to see her last Monday. She is in lots of pain. Head on collision on her way in to Houston. They found an abscess on her liver & had to put in a drain tube. She's not looking too good right now. I hate to say that but with the pain she's in & just the overall of it---She needs all of our prayers, every day!!
