Cabool Space

Social Space for Cabool Alumni

Remember Mr. Freemyer? He was our Science teacher in Jr. High and High School, then later moved to High School Counselor during my time 1970-1975. My family and I went to visit him and his family during one of my Army leave when I came home to visit, after high school graduation. Does anyone know how to get back in touch with him again???? He was a great teacher and always encouraged everyone to excel in their work.

Last I knew he was in Texas somewhere
I wish I knew where in TX. Since I live in TX too, it would be nice to see him and his family again, and to get back in touch with them again. They are sweet people, and was an inspiration to me.
Terri Emily is on Facebook (not on Cabool Space). She was in my 1981 class and is the oldest daughter of David Freemyer. Ask her.
Thanks Terri! You have been a big help. I am on facebook too so it should be easy to find her I hope.
I found him for you send me a e-mail at rickycook@embarqmail.com and I will give you what I have for him!
Awesome Richard! Thanks. I sent you an email.
I sent you a relpy via e-mail
It was SO exciting to be able to talk to Mr. Freemyer last night via ph. Thank you Richard Cook for helping me to be able to locate him, and visit with him via ph.
Does anyone remember planting those trees on his property north of town
Hi Dwight! Great to see you on here! I didn't know you were! Yes, I remember planting those trees. That was GREAT memories! He remembered that too, when I brought it up and had drove by there the last time he came through for a visit, to look and re-live the memories. He also remembered taking us to the river too to put the tires along the bank, that was tied together, to keep the bank from eroding away. Do you remember that? Those were some really awesome times! Mr. Freemyer is 73 I believe he said.... I remember the 70 something. He is retired. He said it is hard to imagine that my students are now grandparents. I was SO glad to get to talk to him.
I do remember planting those trees. Those were the fun and carefree days. I believe that was the bus ride that Ward Hardin was reading the book with the plain paper wrapper over the cover. Turned out to be Valley of the dolls or something similar. The crazy things we remember!
One of my main memories is him letting a snake loose in the room. Remember when the school burnt during junior high and we we had class on the school bus?
