Garritson condolences
Saturday, August 2, 2008.
Shawn's father, Orval Garritson, passed away last week. Steve and I were able to attend the visitation on Wednesday, July 29. The service was Thursday, July 30th. Shaun and his beautiful family were there. Faye was holding a baby when we came in, just like at the reuinion last year. It just seemed natural to see her holding a baby girl on her shoulder.... then I realized, that was a year ago! Baby Claire is a year younger then Ellen (who attended the reunion)! They now have four gorgeous girls! ... and so well-mannered, lovely!
Jeff Engleman and Kevin Hamilton were there, too. While Shawn was busy with friends and family, it was great to get caught-up with Jeff. We had fun razzing Kevin for not attending the reunion, too. (Remember, he drove by!!!) I think he'll be at the next one since Steve and Jeff told him how much fun we had! I would have shared my opinion but I couldn't get a word in Steve and Jeff's conversation... I know you understand!!!

Stac- I hadn't heard this. Is Shawn on here? Thanks for letting us know all the info. You know as soon as we can we will be there to be in on the scoop. My heart and prayers go out to them. Thanks for keeping us updated!! Love ya girl!!

I'll be at the next one.... It was nice to see Shawn and his family, even under the circumstances. He definately has a beautiful family. It was an honor to be a paulbearer for Orvil, he was a great man, as I was for Shawn's mom, Ellen, who was equally a great woman. Best wishes go out to Shawn, Kim, and Shonnon and their families.
