Hi, Barbara,
You will have to ask some of the older people around Cape (ie. professors)
about the submarine races, or I will have to tell you about them when I see. I would like to do lunch with you all sometime. I plan on making a trip down there…
I'm not sure about the races. I don't really keep up with what's going on in town. I have too much studying to do :) Which I really do. I think I studied more first semester than I did in my 3 years at Cabool :) Maybe Cara and I could…
Hi, Barbara
It is great to hear from you. I am so gald you and Cara are at SEMO. It is a good school. Hope I can make it down there sometime this Spring and look you two up. Do they still have submarine races at Capaha Park?
Madeline
I moved to Cabool Missouri My Sophomore year(2005)
I worked at the YMCA after school program all year/summer long. Never thought I would miss it, but I do.
I'm a current student at Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau(LOVE IT HERE!). I'm studying athletic training to get into the school of pre physical therapy. After four years here I will apply to Mizzou or Denver (so far, I am still looking into more grad schools) and out of thousands of applicants hopefully be one of the 45 who make it into the program where I will be studying for an additional 4 years. Yay school!
CAPE!!!?!? Are you already there? I went to the Parent Meeting at the YMCA last night. It won't be the same without you! Stay in touch, okay?! Jillian and I were talking about you last night. Just YMCA stuff. Wil thinks you're still the most beautiful girl in the world! He's a baby chick magnet! He loves the pretty girls! We're in trouble!
My best friend from HS went to SEMO while I was at SMSU. She loved it. Was involved in everything and knows SO many from that area and all over! College is great for that! Look for the silver linings during the tough times and remember... "It's not worth having unless you work for it!" It's true about everything!
