Beth:
I am so glad you found the site and signed up. Where are Tim & Cathy? What are you up t these day? I am going through a ton of old photos from the old days on the hill. I have a slide of your Mom giving swimming lessons. And a few slides of the basketball games. Drop me a line. Take care RB.
Hi Beth, Hope everything is going well for you, and Joey. Tell your sister we said hey from Springfield. Have a good time on this site it's pretty cool. I better leave a message for my sister, since she is on here now. Mark Speake
Beth, good to hear from you. It was a very sad day when I learned of your mother and father dissappearing. I loved your dad to death, singing in the choir and just conversation. A man who never looked down his nose at anyone. I have a scar on my thumb when he sowed it up and everytime I see it, I think about his nurse Jo and my oldest brother holding me down while your dad sowed away. I hope you and your family are doing well. Would love to see Cathy and Tim as well as yourself. Oh, First 48, that was fun, we have a great time doing this job and they absolutely love hanging around us. We pride ourselves in having one of the highest solve rates in the country, so they loved filming here because we get so many cases and so many are solved in the first 48. They are now gone and we will be on one more season and after that, no more. The city counsel here in Memphis said it makes Memphis look bad because of all these killings. Well, I got news for them, it is bad. How in the world did you get in Oregon? I think I would love it up there, can't stand the heat. Send photos and tell me about yourself. Thanks for the note, Joe
Boys are doing well. Phillip will be 14 in Sept and starts HS this fall. :( He wants to play football. Harry just turned 3, but thinks he's much, much older.
Talk to you later!
Beth:
I too want to add to what Joe Stark said about your Mom & Dad, they meant a great deal to me, from your Mom teaching me to swim to singing in the choir with your Dad. In the late 90's I was in Tucson & got your Mom & Dad's phone number from Russell Simonsen. I called them and talked for a few minutes, unfortunately I had a speaking engagement and could not go over to their house to visit. Your Mom & Dad sounded great and I think they were enjoying their life. A lot of people owe a great deal to your Dad's commitment to Cabool. Now if you look on my picture page you will see a 1958 picture of Todd Forseythe and your Uncle Loran Spears in a parade. They were characters. Tell Cathy and Time to sign up. Take care RB.
Thanks Beth. I miss Russell, Walt and Jeannie everyday. I don't have as much contact with Mike and John any more because time goes by much to quickly. Mike is still in LA & John is in Eugene OR. Please keep in touch. thanks RB.
No, we've not moved, Frederick is just the closest city to us. I still find it hard to believe that I moved to a town smaller than Cabool. And yes, it's just as bad, if not worse, where the gossip is concerned. And actually we don't live in Keymar, according to a postmaster, the Keymar post office was the only one that "would" deliver to us. Keymar is in another county than us.
Hello beth i bet your boy is growing fast. Thought this was a nice sigh to se how my girls are growing. Cant wait to see some pics of you and your son.
Well Beth, get Cathy and Tim on here now. The more folks join the easier it will be to keep up. Do you think that you all will ever make it back this way? Would like to see the three of you. You bigger than Cathy now? Maybe you can twist her arm. Good to hear from you, your old neighborhood friend, Joe Stark. PS. I had a lot of fond memories out in front of your house. We were there whether your family was or not.
