About Me:
After graduation in 1977 I attended University of Missouri - Columbia for a year and a half. I then went to work for Frisco Railroad Company in February of 1979 (now Burlington Northern Santa Fe). After being on a signal gang and on the road for several years, I am currently a CTC Signal Maintainer headquartered out of Mtn. Grove. I married Janet Mitchem in August of 1982 and we have two children, Kizzi Suzanne, 21, a senior at Mizzou and Spencer Bradley, 19, a sophomore at OTC in Springfield. I enjoy spending time with Janet and the kids and working out at the farm. We also have a small trucking company that keeps me busy and out of trouble. I still enjoy the small town life in Cabool.

Hello Brad - isn't it wonderful to hear about all the old class after all these years? You look the same, and Janet doesn't look any different than she did in high school. Very happy to hear about your family and a bit about your life. I get the Cabool paper every now and then, doesn't travel well here to Australia, but I enjoy recognizing some of the names and reading what is going on there. I married Robert and moved back to Melbourne, Australia in '80, we have 4 great kids, my eldest Will is 26, he's a Radio-therapist at a cancer hospital here, Harley is 24, he works in Tech Support for an internet company, Jimmy is 21 and works with my husband in our earthmoving business, my daughter, Elle-May is 18, she's in her first year at university in Canberra, our national capital, studying Law. I've been busy over 31 years! I'm a Practice Manager for a group of Cardiologists near the city, but we live on 10 acres about an hour north of Melbourne. We have a wonderful life here, but I sure am enjoying hearing about everyone! I still keep in contact with Tennie, just spoke to her on weekend, and she told me about the website. Its lovely to hear, and see!, how everyone is going. Hope to hear more from you soon.

Hi Brad - so lovely to hear from you! Yea, I think my family is pretty great, your kids sound like they have turned out ok inspite of having you as their dad! Only joking. Is your daughter studying to be a vet? And your son, he's at OTC isn't he? I know that's where Tennie's husband works, and I went there when I lived in Springfield many years ago! What sort of trucks do you run? Just ask, as my husband has trucks, excavators and the like. Besides, your farms, what do you and Janet like doing when you have some time away work? Hope you both have a good week.

Sounds like you are kept pretty busy. What sort of restuarant does your son want to open up? What's his
"speciality" dishes?! I love cooking! Being in Melbourne which has such a wide range of tastes here with all our different cultures you can get so much different types of food and flavours that over the years I have learned so much! We have great seafood which I just love - whenever we go out to eat I always order some kind of seafood, preferably prawns and scallops which are my absolute favourite. Given our pretty stable climate, the vegies and fruit here are pretty great all year round, I really do love that about living here. My mom was pretty much a potatoe, green beans, corn and carrot sort of cook, so being exposed to so many different types of food are great. I love all the cooking shows and am a great fan of Gordon Ramsey. Last January my daughter, oldest son, and myself went to Paris and we also went and spent a couple of days in London and we went to dinner at one of Gordon Ramsey's resturants. It was fabulous! A great experience! As you can tell I really enjoy foods, flavours, tastes. I cook a lot of Italian based dishes as well lots of vegetarian dishes, not because I don't like meat, but I just adore vegetables! Anyway, enough about that. What sort of auctions do you and Janet go to? Property or materials? You know, in Australia most homes are sold through auctions. Pretty stressful way to buy, if you ask me, but alot of people love it. Rob and I do a lot of motorcycling. Well, I sit on the back and look beautiful! Rob has always had bikes, and now since the kids are grown he has alot of bikes! But he loves them and I enjoy the rides so we both win. I work alot of hours, but usually on the weekends we see one or more of the kids for dinner, and I love the theatre. This weekend we are going to see "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", should be good. My daughter and I go to the ballet and opera each year - must have been some of the songs Mrs Woods had us sing in Mixed Chorus that sparked my interest! I love classical music, go to the symphony a few times a year, I just really enjoy that sort of thing. I love being at home though, so for the most part we are just home, reading, walking our little dog, and listening to music. Rob potters (an Aussie term) around with his bikes, and I sit, sip tea, and talk. I'm good at that! Will and Harley my 2 oldest boys live together, Will is a Radio-therapist at a cancer hospital, Harley works in IT tech support, Jimmy works with Rob and still lives with us, he's 21, and Elle is at uni. They are all lovely kids! Aren't we both proud parents!!!

the easy part: I got a few pictures posted. my wife, Chris, and I are MU alumni - what is Kizzi studying?

hard part: when we lost Brent I did not know a good way to extend sympathy. belated, sympathy. I still miss him. the Brent I remember was quarterback for a football team I loved, and the best quarterback. but my favorite position to play was nose guard, and I was always most comfortable when Brent was running the defense as middle line backer.

and he would play chess with me in drivers' ed study hall. I can count on one hand the number of people who I can play chess with.

thanks, I feel better for having had a chance to say that.

Thanks for cutting your trip short Saturday and coming back in time for the gathering at the park. Also for being in the parade on Friday.
It seems like even though we live in the same area we see each other in passing, but that is about it. Was good to see you over the weekend. Plan on the All school reunion in May.
