I have been married to Joey Dorsey since 1988. We have two children, Tristan-17 and Parker-16. I work for Springfield Public Schools as a Staff Development Specialist/STEP UP Coach and enjoy reading, cooking, floating, camping, gardening and any activities that involve my family.

They all influenced my life, so I can't list just one favorite.
Well its about time, Park! Hope you and the kids are doing well. How's Joey doing overseas? All I can say is to make it through these long deployments, you absolutely need to keep busy, which you are probably doing. I did have my moments of total despair but John Christopher, Joanne and Tom pulled me through. I believe we will be at the alumni football game. I'd love to play in the VB game but after having surgery on my left hand, I don't think I can chance it. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care.
Colleen,
It is truly about time you joined us here. You have been missing all the fun!
It is hard for me to imagine Tristan 17 and Parker 15. To me they should still be the little guys I used to come visit in the PAT program.
Do you enjoy staff development? That was one of my favorite positions and I really enjoyed being a state certified professional developer. I still have friends from all across the state that went through the training with me and we were able to share experiences of success and not quite so much success.
Get some pictures on here and tell Joe to get the lead out and sign up!!!

Glad to hear Joey is safe and that you're all doing well and keeping busy. After Jimmy's hummer was blown up last April, he was ordered to stay on base but he just couldn't do that. So, he took a different job - "sensitive" stuff as he puts it. Made it out of Iraq with some holes in his legs and a concussion. That's enough! Now all that he is stressing about is retiring. Fortunately with his education, background and security clearance, he's been blessed with several job offers for which we are weighing all of them. We'll see. Three companies want him to start right when we return from our cruise on 8/25. I'm excited as he'll finally become part of my world - the civilian side! Its been fun - buying him a new wardrobe, the thought of having him home, etc and him not in a combat zone or on one of his "sensitive" missions anymore. His transition from combat zone to home has been as smooth as I'd hope. The boys trip to London was the perfect getaway for them. Now, its me and Jimmy's turn - our honeymoon - finally! Rock climbing in Skagway and ziplining in Juneau! Should be a totally rockin' good time! John has been home for the summer. His girlfriend is moving to Overland Park from Raleigh next month, so we'll see what happens next!! The entire family already has already given their blessing to this union! Hope to hear from you soon.
I know that John with his college and fraternity expenses costs us dearly! Two in college at the same time; I don't envy you! Yikes! As far as a "normal" life, I can't wait to see what "normal" is really like! Lately, our weekends consists of the three of us working out at the gym and the three of us surfing the net, sending emails, etc. Jimmy is still commuting back & forth to Fort Riley; home on Thursday nights and back to post on Mondays. We've got his retirement luncheon planned for 8/9 and then we leave for Seattle on 8/15. Life has been good and we're hoping as Jimmy leaves the army, its just gets better! Get some pics on!!! Its been so long since I've seen any pics of the kids! Take care, Park.
When did Joey go to Kosovo? I don't keep up as much as I used to now that Barbara is no longer in the area.
I will defintely check out Tristan's pictures.
I added Danny to the site because I have him busy remodeling the house and when I get home at night he has all the things that need two pair of hands for me to help him with and he said he just didn't have time yet. I imagine that when the days start getting shorter he will find time to be on here.
Great you're here!!! Will you be my friend? :) Here's hoping you're adjusting to Joe being gone. It's gotta be tough for you all! You're in my thoughts and prayers. Joe, too!!! :)
Hi Colleen! I'm glad your on here. It is a lot of fun to catch up with everyone! If you ever need anything, you know we are right down the street! Belinda
