- I graduated from CHS in 1973, attended SMS in Springfield before marrying Tom Whittaker In May 1974. After Tom got out of the Navy in 1976, we returned to Cabool. I started working part time at the Cabool Enterprise in 1976 and now 33 years later I own the business. We have two children, Scott and Sarah, both graduated from CHS and both are married. We have our first grandchild, Grayson Elijah, born October 16, 2009 to Sarah and Terry Jones. Tom and I have been married 35 years.

I know you probably don't remember me because I was a little rug rat when Valinda and Kirby were in high school with you. I didn't want to write you a letter through the CE, but would like to request something. My brother is now living on our farm outside of Cabool and his kids are in high school. I started subscribing last year so I could read about the kids and all they do for sports, etc.
Anyway, Samantha is a Senior and on the Varsity Volleyball team. I have noticed there is not much coverage of the HS games. Would you please try and get someone to write about them? At least the varsity home games? I think is only fair to them, remembering what is like to play just as hard as they do for other sports. Sorry this is so long and I hope you are doing well.

Thanks for asking. We are going to have to cancel the tournament due to lack of participation. I think the timing just rough on everybody.
