Well, where do I start? After graduation, I enlisted in the Air Force and spent most of the first 5 years in Florida and loved it. I got out for a few months and then joined the Air National Guard and attended SMSU in Springfield. I met my wife Melanie at SMSU and she decided to join me on the crazy adventure of being a military spouse. We have moved several times. After SMSU, I got my commission and have been flying ever since. It is hard to believe that I have been in for over 13 years, and I still love it. Along all of our adventures we have had two awesome children Ella and Evan. Oh yeah, I forgot about our oldest child; Jackson (the dog). They are a blast and I enjoy every minute I can spend with them. I have had my fair share of time overseas (a.k.a. the Sandbox) and I'm flying full-time now. Right now we call Kansas City our home. It has been great to see everyone's blogs and hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks Jason. Cabool space actually sent me an email since I was the one that invited you. Pretty impressive, huh? This is the coolest little site. I have other friends that wish their hometown schools would set something like this up!
Jason:
I noticed your picture in KABUL are you being deployed again, if so look up a friend of mine LtCol Kurt Floyd, he is an engineer in KABUL. So if you run across him tell him your from RB's home town. Kurt is a real nice guy and has been to Cabool MO, when he was at Ft L Wood. Your family looks great! Good luck and thanks for serving all of us.
Jason,
Your Ella and Evan are beautiful. Congratulations on your Air Force career. Sounds like you are having the time of your life. I really like the comment about your first child, our last one is Shrek (miniature doxie). He is the one that inspired us to raise dogs.
It doesn't seem possible when I look back that you and Jeremy and my two older kids could be all grown up, I remember when you to stayed with my two when we lived on Main street. That was the days of the Soda Fountain at the Drug store. I still have the big wheeled wagon that we used to take walks dowtown in. I don't think the four of you could fit in it anymore!
Jennifer has three children, Halyn 7, Logan 5, and Ashlin 2 1/2. Jonn is still single and will probably always be, no one meets his standards and he is a neatnic. I keep telling him there is someone out there that is just as much a neatnic as he is, be patient.
Have a great one and I look forward to seeing more pics of your family on here soon.
Hey Jason, remember me? You know I was the best babysitter ever. We used to watch cartoons on Saturday mornings and wrestle. I hate that I lost track of you guys as I got older. It's just hard to believe you are old enough to have your own family. Congrats on the Air Force career. I was an AF wife for 20 years already. Can you believe that? Tom never really had to go anywhere which we were thrilled about. If he went anywhere it was always state side. Now we are trying to get back closer to home. Just haven't had any luck in selling our house for the last year and a half. Hope to get there soon though. Be careful over in Kabul and know we will be thinking of you and praying for you. I would love to hear from you. I messaged Jeremy but didn't hear anything back, although he did add me as a friend. Hope to talk to you soon. .
I saw their story a few months ago on the Military channel. I don't know if I would have the guts to jump from those altitudes. I really thank you for your service. RB Grisham
