August and September

Well, I am not sure where August went too! Was still trying to get my act back together after Dad's passing. Did do three art shows that month if I remember right and I spent a lot of time in my studio playing in the mud. Which of course I enjoy way too much I am told. I hope that I never grow up!!!

September is here, which brings in the fall and the National Festival at Silver Dollar City. Mom and I started the festival this year on September 11th and will be there through the 25th… Continue

July and Dad's Passing

July started off wet and with Donna and I spending alot of time here in cabool helping mom with my dad. He was fighting aginst lung cancer (and a NON Smoker too) and it was a losing battle, though he kept his sence of humor till the end. Dad left us on July 5th in the afternoon, the way he wanted to go. He just closed his eyes for a nap, Mom and Donna where here with him at the time. We will miss him dearly.

Just a note to let you all know that he is where he wished to be. We will… Continue

I saw Kandy last night and she was telling me about your dad's diagnosis. He and your entire family will be in our prayers. I saw Sue before Farm Fest at the newspaper office and that was right after he had gotten out of the hospital in early May. This has been fun having a Cabool My Space site. Good way to catch up with people we haven't seen or talked to in awhile.
Keep in touch and keep me posted as if there is anything I can do to help Sue.

Hi Jeff. Great to read about you and see that you are doing well. Very cool that you are an artist! I'll be sure to check out your website. Just wanted to say hi, isn't this website neat?

Hi Jeff! Wow! This site IS great! It was a nice surprise to log on and find a note from you this morning!! It sounds like you are doing well. Not working, but doing what you love to do every day and getting paid for it?

Not much home town news today, you know, school's out for summer, gardens are going down, temps are going up, etc. I'm anticipating the arrival of my middle daughter, Caitlin, and her husband, Chad, who are returning home in June after four yrs in Germany. This is the kid who, at 17, said "I can't wait to move away from this town!" At 25 yrs old and after four years with the Germans, she has a new love and respect for small town U.S.A. Chad has been to Iraq twice and more than done his duty for the Air Force and his country. I can't wait to get them home!!

Where do you call home now? Seems like I heard you had moved somewhere north/east of here?

I actually felt a little envy last night when I saw Tammy Clary's "Walker Pottery" on her kitchen cabinet! She had a piece that I either didn't see or that you ran out of in Washington! It was a dip bowl that had a little handle to "attach" it over the side of the chip plate. You know... she wasn't home... if Kevin hadn't been looking and my purse had been a bit larger... it would have been mine!!!! (She would have marched herself over to my kitchen cabinet and taken it home but I could have enjoyed it for a while, anyway!!!!)

Hope all is well with you and yours. LOVE the pictures!!!

It was a normal day for Steve, but not me... that was "pure de o" envy!!! You're the best! I can't wait to see my newest pottery piece!! Think Tammy will be green with envy???

Did you know that Laura Skeen Mosca and I are sisters... I bet you do but just in case... I'm throwing that tidbit in. I'm MUCH younger than her!!! Be sure to mention that to her! She loves to be reminded!!

Nahh! She wouldn't hurt you, she'd just abuse me! :) Aaahhh.. Sweet revenge!!! She used to make me ride in the way back of her baby blue station wagon and lie down!!! She said I wasn't human yet and that I had to stay lying down at all times! Can you believe it?

Well Jeff, you are quite the artist. Both in pottery and your gorgeous daughters. All that beautiful red hair. (It is my favorite ;) I'm glad your doing well and have been doing what you love. It is obvious by your work. I'm glad you left me a note and have wondered about how you have been doing. We have no excuse to not stay in touch now with this site.-Lynn
