Linda,
Welcome to Cabool Space. I am Judith (Judi) Wood Baker's younger sister. Judi is on here, Vicki is on here, John Cook is on here, and there are some others from your class as well. I don't remember everyone from Judi's class, but some names I recognize and remember they graduated with her, others the names sound familiar, but don't know if they were my brother Ronnie's friends or Judi's Then there are some of the ones that I have known all my life that still live around here that I know. The pitfalls of being the younger sibling.
Enjoy Cabool Space.

Mom is living in Landmark Villa now. She has been ther a little over a year. She just celebrated her 90th birthday in April. I have some pictures of her on my page and the small party we had for her. She was still volunteering at the elemntary school every day until she fell in January 2007. With that fall she broker her jaw in 4 places and has had various problems ever since. But, she is still going strong at 90 and loves to visit. I think if it were possible she would still be up at school every day.
Judi lives just south of town and works for a pediatrician in West Plains. Her son Brad and his wife live in the farm house on E hwy, he works as a dispatcher for WDT . She has been rather busy this past week, so if you sent her a note, she probably has not had time to respond. Our brother Ronnie and his wife Judy (Shannon) live down on EE and have a HVAC business that keeps them very busy. Their oldest son Rodney is working in the business now with him and he and his family live in West Plains, their youngest son, Monte and his family live in California, he is a teacher and coach, and their daughter Dana and her husband live outside Springfield in Nixa and she is a teacher in Branson.
Kinda sums up what everyone is doing and where they are.

Hey Mom! Lori said you were on here, not sure how you slipped in under my radar. I'm Almost as good as Patsy at catching people when they get on here. It's hard to belive that you guys moved that long ago.

Lori said Tim's a computer nerd for Haliburton. I do the same type of work for the electric coop that generates all of the electricitty for Missouris Rural Coops. Got married to Penny Russell from Cabool 6 years ago. Her Mom was Jannetta Russell and James Russell was her dad. He had the gas station next to the funeral home for years. We have two boys James (5) and Charles(3). James starts Kindergarden Thursday. Yes, I got a late start on having a family, but I'm glad I did. I would not have appreciated them if I had started earlier.

Tell Tim to get on here and get signed for the class of '84 as we are working on a reunion for next year.

I'm not so much the blackberry eater. Mom would make a cobbler when my brother Mark was going to be home. We actually have blackberries on the empty lot next ot ours, but I really don't care to get the chiggers, wasps or snakes all up and going. :)

Now...We picked those blackberries. We just found a more convenient place to pick them from. Of course we had to pick twice as many to replace them. :)

I just took the boys to see Mom on Saturday and we took her out for a picnic at the park. She is living in Marshfield in a senior apartment just down the road from my suster Debbie. She is having real problems with her back and her feet swell pretty bad if she is up for any length of time. So Saturday was really hard her. She is supposed to have a lady coming in 3 time a week to cook and clean for her. but she has had to change agentcies and this week the new one is supposed to be out to see her. We are trying to convince her to come and live with us, but she doesn't want to live with her kids. We have a full basement with seperate living quarters, so everything she needs is there. We would just have to get a lift for the stairs. The other option we have is to move the office down stairs and set her up in the upstairs. she would be on the other end of the house from us, with a bathroom, laundry facilities and the kitchen within just a few steps.

We'll keep trying and see what we can do.

Yes, I would hate for Mom to be or think she's a burden on me. I was never a burden on her. I was the perfect self-suffiecient child. (looking for the lightening strike) I think Penny is going to talk to her to see if she can have better luck than I have had.

Have told Tim it's time to pick some more blackberries?

Linda it is good to see you on Cabool Space. I'm not on here much, but try to get on at least once a week. The twins had their first birthday on the 10th of this month.
Also that evening Tammie fell and broke both bones in her (R) ankle. She has been staying with me and taking care of me. So guess who is taking care of her now! Of course mom. Please keep in touch.
