Lora, what's going on? Just making sure that you are planning to attend the 25th reunion. I'm really excited to see every one. Hope to hear from you soon.
Agreed; I was too tied up in a company I had purchased to attend the last one - sad.
If we can pull folks together here, I think we'll get it done.
BTW, the "sewing" story was the culmination of a series of pranks Brian/Kevin and I…
Hey Tabby. Good to hear from you. I think it's great about the alumni tournament, but I don't think I'm up for it. I'll be cheering you all on, though. I don't have info on Jeanne and Jane. Last I heard (old news), Jane was…
Hey Aaron! Glad to hear from you. The photos of your family are great. We missed you at our last reunion. I think most will be ready for another reunion soon. High School seems like another lifetime (my son is graduating this May!)
I know Kevin…
Hi Lora,
How's it going? We are trying to get a mid 80's VB team for the women's division of the Alumni Volleyball Tourney. Are you up for it?
Do you have the address of Jane and Jeannie? I have contacted a few but wasn't sure if…
Graduated SMSU (now MSU). Married Eddy Noll and moved back to Cabool. Our 21th anniversary is this June. We have two children, Austin (18 in June) and Alex (Alexandra is about to turn 16). Eddy and I both work at Woodpro. http://www.woodpro.com.
Thanks, I was pretty proud of myself for not being too nervous! I practiced a lot. Yeah, everyone was supposed to hand them out but when you leave it up to a man to do something (like hand the seashells out to the guys in their locker room) it doesn't always work out! And we had a few that thought it was "mean" and didn't want to! But he laughed and I thought it turned out pretty well!
Thanks, Lora! Jim is on four weeks of leave and enjoying his freedom again as well as green grass!! I'm sure we'll see you over at the Walls' soon! Take care!
Hey Lora! Now that you know how to get ahold of me you can let me know about these volleyball tournaments. Couldn't have come anyway. All holiday weekends are the busiest times for me. Those soldiers like to have fun on the holiday weekends. Good to hear from you. If you talk to Valerie again or see her in passing tell her to join so I can contact her. Take care and keep in touch.
Hey Lora - just got signed up on this site. It's great. You have such talented brother. And you and his wife are also so talented at organizing VB tournaments. Was hoping you are working on your next one . . .like maybe the same day as the Alumni Football game on Sept 20? I know there probably lots of work. . .but have I "brown-nosed" you enough yet to give it some thought?
what do think of this idea? Organize a true Volleball Player Alumni Game just like the football game is done instead of an all day tournament. Surely we could muster up at least 12 alumni volleyball players over the years to form 2 teams. And it would be more nostalgic having it in the old gymn. Maybe you could have it at 4p. "drum it up" good, charge admission, do introductions etc. like they do the football. It would probably be over by 5p. Have some other organization raise money by cooking up dinner for the in between time til 6p.
At my husband's school, they do an alumni co-ed baskball game every year. It's lots of fun and I think it could be down there too . . . if you guys ever consider it, holler at me, I've got lots of fun ideas for it I've learned from here. If you decide to do any of this . . I'll be glad to help with what I can from here . . just let me know.
Hey Lora,
It is fun to see pics of your kiddos! It is hard to believe that our kids are the age we were when we knew each other! Where has the time gone?
