About Me:
I stumbled on to this site and started looking around. I attended Cabool from Kindergarten until 5th grade. I had relatives in the area and still recognize familiar names. After I left Cabool, my family moved to Mtn. View. I lived there for 3 years. My mother remarried and we moved to Sikeston, MO where I graduated in 1979. I now live in Ava and teach 6th grade. I have been married for 25 years and have a son, Tyler who is almost 23 and my daughter, Cally who is 18. Both of my kids are "seniors." Ty will graduate from MSU in May and Cally will graduate from Ava and plans to attend OTC. My husband Steve is the area supervisor for Cox Health. My kids have been active in sports so I have been at Cabool at various times for their games. In case you don't remember me, my parents are Vida Reese Wisner who is a proud Cabool alumni and my father was Albert Rogers who is now deceased, but graduated from Cabool also and lived his entire life in the Cabool area. I can't say I have good memories of him, but that is how I am associated with Cabool schools.

Wow...I immediately knew it was you when I saw the friend invite!! I can't believe that you stumbled on this and then found me. It literally has been forever since we last saw or talked to each other. As you saw on my page, I live in Germantown, TN (Memphis) with my husband and our dog, Baxter. We each have a daughter but no children together. My daughter Rachelle is the one in the wedding pictures and Glen's daughter is in the picture with he and I. Rachelle's dad was Brad Brill from Cabool (his sister Carol was in your class). He passed away when she was 16 so it has been a rough go for her. Brothers Norman and Tommy are still in Cabool and going strong. They still have auctions but not near as many as they use to. My dad passed away in '91 and the boys just haven't worked it as hard as dad. Tommy works full time at DFA. My mom remarried after we lost dad and within the last year her husband passed away. She was married to Ray Perry, the optometrist there in Cabool. I could ramble on for days!! It is great to hear from you...stay in touch.....Susie

Regina,
Welcome to Cabool Space. Glad you stumbled across us here. I remember you, but since I was older you probably will not remember me. My mom is Verla Wood and my dad was R.L. (Cap) Wood. We lived on Mt. Ararat Ridge, out farm backed up to your grandparents Price and Oleta's. I always wondered where you went after leaving the area. This space is a wonderful way to reconnect and catch up with everyone.
I live in West Plains now. I am a full-time realtor and work part-time for MSU in West Plains. I also raise dogs. You can take the girl out of the country, but can't take the country out of the girl, so raising dogs is the closest to farming I can do right now. I have three kids, Jonnathan, Jennifer, and Jared and three beautiful grandbabies. Those are the cuties on my page. The grandbabies are the light of my life and I am fortunate to live within 2 miles of them, so I get to see them almost daily or at least talk to them on the phone daily.
Mom is living at Landmark Villa in Cabool, she celebrated her 90th Birthday in April. Dad passed away in January 2000. My sister Judi lives just outside Cabool and my brother Ron lives on EE.
Small world and glad you joined us. Maybe you can make it to some more Cabool events and we can personally reintroduce ourselves.

Regina: This is such an amazing site. Wow I can't beleive you remember me. You were one of the first classmates I ever spent the night with in school. My brother in laws neice lives in that house where you lived at that time. I live in Tulsa, Ok I married Ted Stapp in 1984, we have no children, 3 spoiled dogs. We recently bought Teds mothers house in Cabool, we hope to retire back in Cabool in a couple of years. In May of 2009 our class is having a 30 year reunion, I will keep you posted we would love to have you come, I know a lot of classmates will remember you, we always have a great time. I could go on and on, but I will stop for now and I will stay in touch. Thanks again for contacting me. Cathy White Stapp

Regina,
It's so good to hear from you. I'm glad you found this site. I'm sure you saw the picture of me with my two girls who are now 20 and 23. They are from my first marriage right out of high school. Big mistake (the marriage, not the girls). That marriage lasted for almost 10 years. Then I moved from the Monett area to Springfield and started my career with Alltel. Four years later I tried the whole marriage thing again. Another big mistake. After a third big mistake, I decided to give up on the whole marriage thing. Obviously, it's not my thing. I now have a son who is almost a year old who I have stayed home with since I got put on full bed rest 7 months into the pregnancy. I am now looking to get back into the work force so I can support this very special little man. I am still in Springfield, own my own home and it's just little Landon and I because my daughters have left home. My oldest daughter, Breauna, is graduating next month from MSU as a finance major. She's married and lives here in Springfield. Bailey, my youngest daughter, also lives here in Springfield and recently graduated as an Esthetician and is now working from a shop on the North side of town. My parents, Arlie and Laurolee Rogers sold their farm and moved to Rogersville a few years ago. It is so nice to have them close by. They have enjoyed Landon so much although Mom is not able to lift him and has a little trouble getting around. Dad now suffers from diabetes but is still amazingly active on his 3o acre farm. I saw Marty and Connie several month ago in Walmart. If you have any contact with him you should let him know about this site. He and I were such good friends back when we rode the bus together, despite the family issues. Welcom and I hope to hear more from you.

Its so good to hear from you. I remember we were "best friends", gosh was that 3rd or 4th grade? I remember being sad when you moved. It's great to catch up with everyone. I have to admit it was great growing up in Cabool I can't image living there now, but maybe someday we will go back. It's fun to go visit my Mom still lives there in the house I grew up in. My dad passed away 23 yrs ago, it's still hard I miss him everyday.
Take care
M

Yeah, it's really sad when kids get caught up in the middle of adult situations. Who is the Aunt you referred to? I stopped being invited to the "family get-togethers" after my divorce, the first one. I can't say that I miss them. ha Kenny lives here is Springfield, Sandy in Kansas City, Sherry in Marshfield, and Jim is still at Mtn. Grove.

Keep in touch.

Thanks for the response, I will keep you updated on the reunion and please think about coming. Donna Elliott, Julie Forbes, Janet Andrus Carol Brill and I all get together at least once a year and have a blast.. We often wonder where different ones from our class ended up, it is always great to hear from old classmates. Keep in touch!!!

I think you would really enjoy our class reunion, it is real laid back and casual, Janet Married John Roberts, he works for Burlington Northern, they move around alot, they now are in the Dallas area, Missy Alpers is in the Columbia area and Married with family, she gets together with us sometimes, but always makes the reunions. I will keep you posted, but the last I heard it is going to be in May -09 during the all school reunion.
