Hey Sherri....sounds good. I don't think I have any current addresses for our classmate but let me know if there are some that you need help obtaining....then maybe we can contact them thru classmates.com, facebook etc.
Sounds good Sherri and Tammy!
Wow....30 sounds like such a big number.....can we call it a 3rd "E" reunion or something like that?
Remember...every 2 hours....I have to take a 2-hour nap.
Sounds like a good plan however!
Married to Rhonda McLain, Cabool High School Class of 1982. Rhonda and I have two children….Brianna age 11 and Kyler age 8.
Rhonda works as Receiving Manager for Macy’s Department stores at Millenia Mall in Orlando, she has been with Federated Department Stores since 1991. Outside of work...Rhonda is Girl Scout Troop Co-Leader for Girl Scout Troop 2111 and is busy with numerous "Soccer Mom" responsibilities. http://www.mallatmillenia.com/luxurious/luxurious.htm
Brianna is a 6th Grader at Discovery Middle School in Orlando; she received recognition for Principal’s Honor Roll with straight A’s. Outside of school she is busy with Girl Scouts, Competitive Gymnastics and Baton Twirling. Last December, Brianna finished 5th place overall in individual Level 4 Gymnastics at the State Meet in Miami…this included a 2nd place individual overall on Bars Competition.
Kyler is a 3rd Grader at Waterford Elementary School in Orlando and received recognition for Principal’s Honor Roll with straight A’s. Extracurricular activities for Kyler include Gymnastics, Little League Baseball and a summer program of Basketball "Go Magic". This Fall, Kyler is competing in his 6th season of baseball and his third season of Rookies Baseball for the East Orange County Little League.
Following graduation from Cabool High School in 1981, I attended and graduated from University of Missouri-Rolla with dual Bachelor’s of Science Degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Started my engineering career working as a Systems Engineer at Kennedy Space Center in June 1991 for Lockheed Space Operations then transitioned into a Cryogenic System Design Engineer position and eventually a Thermal Fluids Systems Analysis Engineer for Lockheed Martin (later United Space Alliance). Hired by NASA in April 2007, for dual roles as a Thermal Fluids Systems Analysis Engineer on Project Constellation and as a Pneumatics Systems Engineer on the Space Shuttle Program. A tremendous amount of fluid system designs need to be reviewed and analyzed for Ares I-X, Ares I and Ares V. Both roles are challenging and rewarding… I feel very fortunate to work with some very talented people on some very interesting projects that should take America’s manned space flight program well into the 21st century.
When not involved with our respective work, schools and kids activities…we entertain ourselves by going to Disney World, Sea World, Orlando Science Center, Busch Gardens, Monster Jam, the Rodeo, Zellwood Sweetcorn Festival, the beach at Cocoa Beach or the Tradewinds at St. Pete Beach….and of course, exploring the limitless boundaries of Cabool Space.
Each summer we anxiously look forward to our annual visit to the Missouri Ozarks to visit family, enjoy Silver Dollar City, float the North Fork, chase lightning bugs, play on Grandma Reva’s Farm and eat at a the local Mexican Restaurant.
Brianna and Kyler love going to Missouri every summer…. they say there is “so much to do in Missouri”…this from two kids who were born and raised in Orlando. Go figure!
Rhonda and Stephen,
You guys haven't changed a bit. Your family is absolutely precious. Stephen I think is is really fascinating the things you are doing with NASA. My youngest son spent one whole summer on the NASA website exploring and enjoying the universe. He was interested in aerospace engineering.
I can understand how the kids think there is more to do in Missouri. There is always more to do somewhere else no matter where you are.
Rhonda I admire the fact that you have been with a retailer since 1991. Longevity with large retailers is becoming a thing of the past.
Maybe when you come in for your summer visit I might get a chance to see you.
Hi guys, welcome! Glad you're on here. You need to get Scott on here. Our 30-year reunion will be in Sept. - would love to see him attend! Kizzi is on here as well. She stayed in Columbia this summer, working in the animal meat science lab doing research. She just got back from Florida - attended a conference. Take care.
I have wondered a million times where life had taken you, so glad to hear you are doing so well. You have a beautiful family ..... now I know who I can call when we want to sight see in Orlando..
Hey, good to hear from you. Your kids are beautiful! Sounds like Steve has a very exciting career. Tell him Tim now sells electric for the electric company here. He is out golfing today at Toby Keith's golf course for work. Go figure! That is what Tim has done with his engineering degree from UMR. I now work as the school secretary where my kids went to school. That is what I am doing with my teaching degree. That's funny our daughter's names are the same. And they are both blond and bue eyed. Talk to you later.
Hey Rhonda,
Nice to hear from you as well.. Sorry it took we so long to respond... I hve not been on for wahile as you can tell.. I had vacation, then a yard sell and all sorts of stuff going on...I was at my mom's house at the same time you were in Cabool sorry we didn't run into each other...Glad to hear all is well and when we come to Orlando I'll call... Talk to you soon.
Hey good to hear from you again, next time your coming home let me know, maybe we can get together for a while. Mark still lives in the St. Louis area, last time I saw him was when our grandmother passed away a few years ago. I wish knew how to contact more of the class, it would be good to hear from them. But since I seldom get down there I do not see anybody unless they are in or visiting someone at St. Johns. Ha the hair is a bit different from school huh? Hair is over rated anyway. Talk to you soon
Mr. SVG good to hear from you. I sent out a few invites when I became a member, I believe including you. If you know any more e-mail addresses send out an invite. I believe I have an e-mail address for Lana at the funeral home in Houston that I could invite. Looks like some that I sent didn't join yet. We are doing OK in JCMO. School starts the 18th. Diane was in the hospital for about 8 nights in February with a bad mouth infection after a root canal. She probably had the infection for about 2 years prior. We got her all healed up and spent our cafeteria money very early. We went camping in Cape Girardeau in June because we had not been that direction much. Cape is a very nice town. I did a lot of bicycling in the RV park and the nearby bike trail. Spent about 11 nights in Branson in July including spending a couple of those with the Pervinich's. Went to see Tony Roi, an Elvis impersonator who sounds JUST like Elvis and looks a lot like him too. I recommend the show. We also saw Take It To The Limit - A tribute band to the Eagles. That was good. Also went to Steal Your Dollar City and Celebration City. If I can ever remember that you all are in MO in July I will come see you. I had a sprinkler put in my whole yard in May so I am trying to eventually turn some remaining clover and crabgrass into Fescue. I don't have any pictures posted yet but I need to. Since my wife is a scrapbooker she takes lots of pictures so we have plenty of pictures to post. I stopped by and saw Bill Wade back in February while we were buying a pool table. He lives in New Franklin. He decided to shave his head because he doesn't have much hair left. I'm not far behind Bill and Robert. We are going to the State Fair tomorrow. We usually camp there but my wife is not too enthused about going this year so we are just going for the day. This will be 14 years in a row to go there. I have been enjoying watch Hill Street Blues and Adam 12 on the internet at TV.com. You might want to check that site out. Later on
