Aleta is beautiful. Was at Cabool just this weekend and that's when mom told me about Stephanie. Best of luck to her. Being a very old, tired, and grumpy mommy this time myself, I have to say, I don't envy her one bit!
what a cute little girl you have. i wondered how i was gonna ever see pictures. i sure would like to see her. how about that Stephanie trying to outdo everybody by having twins!!!!

Our new addition came January 5, 2010 - Aleta Grace 7 lbs 11 oz, 20.5 in.
Graduated in 1990 from School (College) of Ozarks. Married Bobby Lyness in 1992. We have two handsome boys and one beautiful girl, Richard born 1997, Eli born 2006 and Aleta born in 2010. My accounting degree got me jobs first with the State, then later with a Hospital. But since 2000, I've been the administrative and accounting dept. (basically the "Boss" ha?) for my husband's contracting business. This allows me to work from home and enjoy my best and most challenging career yet - being a mom. What more could a fat old middle-aged gal like me want!
Our oldest is officially now a teenager, into sports and yes has the "big-time I know it all my folks are really stupid" attitude. Eli is our joyous entertainer who helps lighten the tension, except when he is adding to the tension with a "I luv my new sissy, but am really jealous right now" trip. And little new Aleta is pretty, growing so fast, and wears this OLD momma to a frazzle! Already shooting me cute grins that convince me to keep her in spite of it all. As if two didn't already keep me young while making me old at the same time, little "ms. Aleta" is sure to send me to the crazy house before my time. Having already been mistaken as Eli's grandmother, to ease my ego and spare the postpartum depression, I have been staying in hiding since Aleta was born. If only I had money to spare on face lifts, nips and tucks! Best not it would just ruin my alias identy as Ms. Gertrude Elephante'. Its too much fun to give up. That's her picture on my profile. She's a funny gal up to a lot of mischief that enjoys speaking at church events and ladies' retreats. The 'ole Teresa still loves playing VB, and now that she finally has a girl will have to stay half way in shape to teach her the game.

Teresa as Gertrude-be sure to click on this one to see how gracefully I've aged (ha)
Hey Teresa! I'm glad you guys had a great time at the VB tournament. Joanne originally tried to organize it during Homecoming weekend, but there is a school volleyball tournament that weekend. That would mean we would have to play in the old gym plus staff and high school students wouldn't be able to play. The other date offered was another holiday weekend - Labor Day Weekend.
Boy, you nailed it with the comment about keeping you young while making you old at the same time. HeHe Sooo true!! I had a great time at the VB tournament but had trouble getting up and down for a few days. It was great seeing you again.
Hey Taylor!!!! Sorry I missed you at the tourney. Joanne said it was a lot of fun; maybe next year. A toddler! You're brave! He will definitely keep you on your toes! Sounds like all is going well with you. Love your counterpart! My 21yo still keeps me busy. Life is fun; sounds like it is with you too! Hope to talk to you soon!
Teresa,
Just gotta say I love Gertrude!!! your boys are darlings.
Do you think we are going to manage to scramble up 12 to have a VB game before the Football game? I am trying to work on everyone i can think of, but for some strange reason some people think they are OLD.
HA!!! Old is only in the way you think, I say that , then go do something and my muscles, joints, and bones let me know the next day that maybe I should slow down. But, hey, what fun would that be.
If I have calculated right from the forum there are exaclty four of us willing to give it a shot. Maybe others have replied directly to you?
Keep in touch,
Patsy
Yes, sounds like fun. A "comic" game is probably what it will be, but it will be fun. We will probably need to be sure to have a first aid kit with lots of ice and Ben-Gay rub for us really out of shape people (myself). For some reason chasing the grankids around and walking every day doesn;t seem to be the same as our old workouts. But, today I think walking 1/2 a block is a workout and exercise has become a four letter word!!!!
Teresa - They go to St Louis this coming Friday for an MRI and then the surgery for Lauren is scheduled a week from tomorrow on Monday. It will be in St Louis and they are replacing her Pulmonary valve. As you can imagine they are trying not to think about all the things that could go wrong and just pray for God to help the doctors do their thing. Thanks for the concern and keep praying.
What's up BIG T ???????? Great to hear from you and I'm sure you were the one making my ears burn. What day does the 20th of Sept land on? Business has slowed down quite a bit around that time frame and I'm sure I could probably make it. Just keep reminding me of this stuff. I'm 42 years old now and my mind is failing me. Tell Grandma Hello for me. Keep in touch. Mitz
T-
I am hoping we can get a game together at around 3 or 4 on Saturday, 9/20. I think we should just email people directly, or leave comments for them like i see you have been doing. If want help, let me know. Don't wanna steal Ms. Gertrude Elephante' s plans... =) Too funny!
