I graduated from Cabool Schools, went to college, taught English and Challenge (you might remember Mrs. Armstrong) at Cabool Schools, went backto college, became a Speech/Language Pathologist. I worked for a rehab company called Nova'Care for about 2 and a half years. It sold to RehabCare. The school asked if I would be interested in coming back to do their speech therapy for them. so........ I went back to Cabool Schools to be their speech therapist. I'm married to a great guy who works as a physical therapist at TCMH and I contract there as well. We have a eight year old, Steven. He is curious to the point of being distructive at times. You've been there, you know what I'm talkin' bout. This website is so cool. I am seeing friends and students that I lost touch with. Very fun.

They all ought to be given a medal for putting up with me. Russell Wood stands out as being a favorite for certain.

Good to hear you are doing well and teaching too! Come to think of it several of us have done some of that from time to time. Spent mine as a sub in Sedalia for a while, now just throwing my life away as a friend puts it. Been doing pottery full time for some years now. Also spend a lot of time at SDC during the September and October festival. My mom and dad are there too during this time of year. They still are in Cabool, and of course it will always be home. Give me a shout some time. Jeff
You are correct I love what I do, and red hair has always been a favorite. Why even my EX has red hair, along with those twins of mine. And of course yes staying intouch is a must. I have often thought of you and a few others woundering what and where. Life is too short not to keep up with friends. I am in Springfield today, and will do a quick trip to Cabool today with Mom to work on the house for when Dad gets out of the hospital here in the next few days. Jeff
Hey Lynn you guys are doing well I guess. This is pretty cool to be able to reach out and touch lives of those we have'nt seen for a long time. Hope to see you guys this summer when we are down. Mark
Steven is adorable! I'll give you a call when I'm in town again. Not sure when that will be yet - it seems like it takes forever to get there from here.
Hey. I liked standing next to you at "the PIT" watching the Dogs play Grove. Must tell you I stole your idea for journal writing my first three years of teaching. The students loved it. What a way to connect with them. Sadly, I couldn't keep up. My hat is off to you! 100-150 journals to read and I couldn't just put a check next to the page. I wanted to respond like you used to. I wanted to show I sincerely appreciated their words and truly did read them...eh...took too much time. That's all I was doing, grading journals! Now, once every couple months we'll write notes in class. Yeah, 50 whole minutes of just writing. No talking. You must write, pass the note quietly, and respond. No talking. Funny, the students actually write to ME too and I write back so...everyone's happy. Thanks for the inspiration. One more thing. Any chance you and Monte W. can help me get the word out…a lot is two words. Thought about putting up an English teacher page on frequently misspelled words. What do you think? Enjoy the summer!!
