Social Space for Cabool Alumni

I'm not sure how many of you knew that I have lived with Brad Pierson in Cabool (Elk Creek actually) for the past year now. As I am sure you have heard, Brad passed away at 2:35 am on Monday March 8th, in our home on Kile Road.

We had enjoyed a wonderful weekend, the weather was nice so we did a lot of activities outside, visited with a lot of friends that stopped by or that we ran into, he bar-b-qued both days on his new Jen-Air grill (which everyone knows he loved to do).

Brad hadn't been ill but did occasionally suffer from rounds of heartburn and shortness of breath which he often did and never thought much about it.

I know how well-liked Brad is and for that reason I wanted to let everyone know that he did not suffer at all. He passed peacefully...asleep, laying in my arms. He will be dearly missed.

Brads Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 13th at 10am at the Maness Memorial

Share with all a memory of Brad that still brings a smile:
We were invited to be sophomore servers at Prom…the attire were pastel shirts in green and yellow, as I recall. Following our serving responsibilities…it was decided that we ought to “find something more exciting to do”. So RJ, myself and Brad took Brad’s truck to Mountain Grove….we cruised town...around the square and of course around Sonic…..somebody got the great idea to stop at Sonic. Brad was cruising with his left hand out the window and on the mirror (which was very familiar) …I believe he kept his hand on the mirror even as we sat in Sonic. We placed our order…then somebody suggested something like “I wonder if it looks strange to see three guys in a truck together all wearing these types of shirts?” Brad sunk down in the seat….started the truck…and we hauled-butt out of Mountain Grove….to this day….as he was sitting so low in the seat….I am not sure how he was able to see over the dashboard to drive back to Cabool.
At the time it was embarrassing and funny. Today it is a great memory…of a shared experience.
I had not seen Brad in years.....but I know he will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and closest friends. RIP Brad......

Wow Tammy, I had no idea. This is the first time I've checked this in a long time. I actually had forgotten my password and am usually on Facebook. Sorry to hear of your loss. Glad he went peacefully. I also see that you have a new grandbaby! I also am a grandma now. Brad had a little girl and they live in Springfield. Hope everything else is going good for you.
