Sorry I haven't let you know what has been going on lately. It's been a week since my trip to Columbia and I haven't updated you yet.
Well, we basically just went over things that we knew. We also was informed that unless we showed better results our appointments were going to be scheduled farther apart to let more people into the program. Ones that will show results. We talked about long-term goals and we are suppose to bring in a veggie-centered main dish recipe for the class's recipe book. I found this to be a relatively simple assignment. I just went on a vegetarian site looked up diabetic recipes and pop! there were dozens of good recipes. I now have the hard job of deciding which one I'm going to take to class with me. We also have to do another three day food journal.
I think I might have to put my dream of "going" to college on the back burner. It seems my credit is bad and unless I have a cosigner, I can't get a loan for school. I guess I'll have to wait until my credit is in a better position before I try to go. Don't worry, though, I'm not going to drop my dream. It's still one of my goals. I guess I'll put all of my energies into losing weight instead of halving it between school and losing weight.
I had my first water aerobics class today. My friend, Melissa, took me to her class with her. I know, it's confusing, two Melissas. The only thing more confusing would be is if we were twins. Or had the same last names which we practically do. Any way, I had so much fun! I wasn't sore at all! I was energized! We spent most of the day together. It was a real girl's day out. She is a wonderful person. I think this might just be a regular thing. She goes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. After the sixth, I will go with her. This should help me lose weight, I hope!
This last weigh-in at the bariatrician's was disappointing. I gained 7 lbs. Somehow. I don't know how. I did everything basically the same as the month before. Maybe that's the problem. Hopefully, this aerobics class will help me lose some of the weight that I've gained and some extra weight. Let's cross our fingers! and toes!
